Black pencil drawing with a stump enhanced with white, bears the stamp of the sale "Eugène Fromentin" and numbered 99 down to the right, dated "8 July - 7 o'clock - south face" at the bottom left and bears a beige label on the back with Expo. Mus. La Rochelle, n° 27. 29 x 47 cm Provenance: - Sale after the death of Eugène Fromentin, his paintings, studies, watercolours, drawings and sketches, Hôtel Drouot, Paris, 30-31 January and 2-3 February 1877, n° 99 of the sale (on the back a beige label indicates: 8 July 75 (cat 1877.284).
