Ville de Versailles, IIe République, medal of homage in patinated copper, obverse side with the arms of the City by Caqué, reverse side with the attribution stamped in relief "A.J. VAUCHELLE Maire de 1849 à 1852 la Ville de Versailles reconnaissante" (A.J. VAUCHELLE, Mayor from 1849 to 1852, the grateful City of Versailles), hand punch indicating (small shock). 57 mm France, 1852. APC André Jean Vauchelle (1779-1860), first war commissioner, he did all the campaigns from the year IV to 1815, in the service of the Kingdom of Naples from 1896 to 1815, he was created Commander of the Order of the Two Sicilies and Baron, Knight of Saint-Louis in 1817, and of the Legion of Honour in 1820, Grand Officer in 1845, then State Councillor and Director of Algerian Affairs at the Ministry of War (file LH/2678/66).
