Octagonal pendant in platinum 850 thousandths openwork, partially black enamelled, decorated in the center with crystal flowers, jade, moonstone, engraved and adorned with sapphires and jade cabochon shaped. The rim is highlighted with round half-cut diamonds and two half cylindrical onyx patterns. The bélière is set with a square diamond and a jade cabochon. It is held in place by a platinum necklace of 850 thousandths, the black enamelled piriform links framed by two frosted crystal motifs alternating with jade cabochons, sapphires and square diamonds. (Accident to the necklace - some elements and small lacks in the enamel). Dimensions of the motif: 5,5/6 cm, gross weight: 53,5 g Gross weight of the necklace: 64 g Lacloche, unsigned around 1925, Ateliers Verger Frères. (N°67406 - hallmark on pendant and necklace) Red leather case with Lacloche Frères, 15 rue de la Paix. Bibliography: Laurence Mouillefarine and Véronique Ristelhueber "Lacloche Jailliers", Norma Edition, pages 169, 186 and 187. - The gouache drawing of the pendant was presented at the International Exhibition of 1925. - Figure on the photo plate of the French section of the 1925 Paris International Exposition of Arts Déco. - Reproduced in the special issue "Le grand Négoce" of 1926 devoted to the 1925 International Exhibition. According to family tradition, this pendant was offered to the ancestor of the current owners by H.R.H. Monseigneur le Duc d'Orléans (1869-1926). The latter maintained a privileged relationship with Madame Bouriat, née Germaine de Randal (1871-1958) from 1904 until her death. A large amount of correspondence (letters, telegrams) testifies to this. Thanks to this relationship, she became lady-in-waiting to Queen Amelia of Portugal, sister of the Duke, until her death in 1951.
