An eight-leaf screen in Coromandel lacquer decorated with a central panel on one side of a stage at a reception in a palace, a mandarin surrounded by his servants, sitting watching dancers, while musicians play, women practicing go under a kiosk, young women and scholars walking under the trees, in the upper part and on the sides of literary objects, the lower part of shishi and qilong, the other face decorated with literary objects under the trees by the river and a bridge, rocks in the upper part, and floral bouquets in the lower part, both faces decorated with lotus friezes on the edge.
